Great book covers of 2012

There as been so many great book cover this year I though I would do a list with my top ten favourites.
They are in no particular order as I couldn't choose between them.

I have enclosed the blurb for each book so if you haven't already check them out.

so here we go.

first up is Interred by Marilyn Almondover
I just love  the look of this cover and although this book isn't out yet I had to add it.
I cant wait to read it.

The Blurb
Time has never been an issue for Baxter Jacobs, but then she never knew she had the ability to Bend it.

As her sixteenth birthday approaches, Baxter inherits a pendant that will change her life. Connected to the pendant is a dark and mysterious young man named Declan Ashdown. To acquire the power she needs to free him, she’ll become one of the Interred, those whose Magical abilities emerge as they come of age. When she does, she’ll discover that Declan isn’t the only one interested in the fact that she’s a Time Bender.

As the Interment arrives, Baxter knows this will be no Sweet Sixteen. A vengeful relative and ruthless Council are determined to control her. Next we have the beautiful Elder cover by Raine Thomas
I have been a huge fan of Raine Thomas since I read her first novel Becoming (The daughters of saraqael trilogy)
So when she brought out the First born series which is set in the same world with some of my favourite characters I was over the moon
Elder Is the final instalment

The Blurb

He’s working closely with Clara Kate on the quest to stop their enemies…too close for her comfort. His presence serves as a constant reminder of the love they shared on the human plane, a love that he no longer remembers at all.

Her life and the lives of those she loves are at risk, and she knows she has to put aside her personal problems. So far on their journey, she's endured heartbreak, terror, pain and loss. She’s even been brought to the brink of death.

She thinks things can't get any worse.

She's wrong

(I would love to have all Raine's cover in the top ten list but I thought it was only fair I picked just one)

The Gathering Darkness by Lisa Collicutt is next

I love how the couple on the front look exactly how I pictured the two characters in the book and the house in the background looks just as creepy as described.

The Blurb
They say "third time's the charm", and for sixteen-year-old Brooke Day, they had better be right. She’s been here before, twice in fact, and an evil demon-witch wants her dead a third time.

When Brooke is forced to leave Boston for the small town of Deadwich, she thinks her life is over. Before long, her new friends start acting strange—downright evil. But worse than that, nightmares she’s had her whole life become reality.

Enter Marcus Knight; popular, hot, and the only person Brooke can trust. Not to mention, they’ve shared the same nightmares.

With the discovery of an ancient Celtic amulet, Brooke and Marcus unravel the secrets of her past, which reveals the key to her future.

As the equinox approaches:

Darkness and light merge for the first time in a century.

Soul-mates reunite.

Magic awakens

The wolves eyes on the front of Fade are so intense. As soon as I saw the cover I had to read
The Blurb
What do you do when you realize nothing in your life is what you’ve believed it to be?

When Arionna Jacobs loses her mother in a tragic accident, her world is turned upside down. She’s forced to leave her old life behind and move in with her father. Dace Matthews, a teaching assistant at her new college, is torn in two, unable to communicate with the feral wolf caged inside him.

When they meet, everything they thought they knew about life unravels. Dace has intimate access to Arionna’s mind, and something deep within her fights to rise to the surface. They don't understand what's happening to them or why, and they're running out of time to sort out the strange occurrences around them.

Their meeting sets an ancient Norse prophesy of destruction in motion, and what destiny has in store for them is bigger than either could have ever imagined. Unless they learn to trust themselves and one another, they may never resolve the mystery surrounding who they are to one another, and what that means for the world

I Love Love Love this cover, the girls eyes are stunning and I love the colours on the cover.
I cant wait to read Lucifer (sons of old trilogy #1)
Coming January 31st 2013
The Blurb
Have you ever wondered what could be hiding in the shadows?

Well, for eighteen-year-old Zahara Faraday, she doesn’t have to wonder. You see she comes from a lineage of Light Witches, those who have chosen to help protect and serve between the supernatural world and the human world. The only problem is Zahara, like her father Solomon, is as human as a human being can be whereas her mother, Mia, and her Aunt Catalina, were born as Light Witches. As a family they hunt down rogue supernaturals—creatures who harm humans or who have committed an act against their kingdom.

Zahara’s hunting skills are usually kept dormant since her parents would prefer she live life as a normal human girl without knowledge of the supernatural world. She plans on doing just that—except when she finds a couple being attacked by fairies, she has no choice but to step in. Before she can return to pretending to be blissfully ignorant, Zahara encounters a problem she isn’t the least equip to handle: Bryan Hamilton, the good looking new co-worker she has to help train. In a heartbeat, her best friend, Becca King, has set her up on a double date with herself and her new crush, Rekesh Saint-Louis, who happens to be the most powerful leader of the biggest Imago Coven in South Florida –supernatural creatures with the ability to control water . . . and suck out human souls.

Zahara has no time to focus on how she’s going to explain her double date with her best friend and the enemy they have a tentative truce with to her parents because soon one of the members of Mia and Catalina’s coven is found murdered with a strange tattoo of a snake with wings carved into his arm.

Zahara is then thrown into a whirlwind battle with an angel determined to have revenge against God, an Imago coven she doesn’t think they should trust, and slew of dream-eating fairies and powerful Nephilims, hybrid children of angels and humans, more than happy to rip her to shreds.

Normal just got a deadlier definition.

Next is Bitch Hollywood, different to the other covers I have chosen so far but I just love this cover
The Blurb
When handsome twenty-five year old Slovak Fillip wins the American Green Card Lottery, his dreams of being a Hollywood Costume Designer come a leap closer.

But Hollywood is a huge shock, moving from his down to earth comfortable life in London to the cut-throat world of Tinseltown.

Then a stroke of luck first meeting leads to a job with fading actress Veronica Madison - a movie star on the verge of a nervous breakdown. Soon Fillip is pulled into the dark and hilarious world she inhabits, surrounded by the famous (and infamous) residents of the Hollywood Hills.

Fillip faces a choice, to make his dream a reality should he become one of them; devious, manipulative, corrupt? Or will he choose happiness and return to the love of his life he left back home in London?

Bitch Hollywood is a jaw dropping, gut-busting comedy about the trials of life and love in the city where dreams are supposed to come true

the cover for Always and Forever I think is quite poewrful and beautifully sad especially having read the book
The Blurb
Mia's first reaction is outright disbelief. Obviously, a mistake has been made. Sixteen-year-old girls don't die. But, when the diagnosis is confirmed, she dives headlong into anger. If she has to die, why should it be of cancer? In fact, anything would be preferable to cancer. Better for her to say when, where, and especially how.

Determined to meet death on her own terms, Mia devises scheme after scheme to get the job done. A “fall” down the basement stairs, driving her car off a bridge, and even a dance with a train all end in her survival.

And through it all, Mia keeps her family and friends at arms' length with her destructive and hurtful behavior. With each failed suicide attempt and burned relationship, she slowly realizes that it’s not the dying that she’s afraid of, but the life she’ll be leaving behind. Now, that life is in a shambles. As time begins to slip through her fingers and death is upon her, Mia fights to rebuild the bridges she has destroyed, but can she do it before the clock runs out?

But Aude is the descendant of a centuries-old coven of witches--a coven that Guillaume failed to protect seventy years ago. This time, if they fail, the world will never be the same.

Perfection Unleashed Is a great cover and perfectly shows what the Double Helix series is about
The Blurb
Two men, one face. One man seeks to embrace destiny, the other to escape it.
